But when it had came down to third-party companies, they just haven’t had that delivery on great accessories for Nintendo’s big portables. For Newbie Gaming, they just haven’t had that strike in gaming for the Nintendo 3DS. Their ClearOptix Gaming glasses, just haven’t felt like they have been worth the money. Not only do they not fit well, and bring a lot more strain out on my eyes while I am playing the 3DS. It just isn’t worth the money at all. Overall, if you own a 3DS, I would definitely suggest that you pass this up, and find something that just doesn’t make your eyes give out, when you’re gaming on the go.

27 of 28 people found the following review helpful. Good mic that could have been Great….. By E. Coleman The wireless 360 LIPS microhpone mics are extremely well made. Alot fancier then the standard USB microphones used in Guitar Hero, Rock Band or Karaoke Revolution games. They sound better as well. Less distortion then the USB mics. The mics are comfortable and have flashing lights to give them a little bit of flare. Thats personal taste. But I thought it was nice.
So why are these mics good and not great…well they have flaws. The system of turning the mic on and off is honestly rediculous and confusing. The system of connecting your mic with the xbox 360 is equally rediculous and confusing. They use LED light indicators to show when a mic is on or off, when the batteries are running low. Things of that nature. But I’ll be darned if I could totally figure it out. They did it this way to avoid putting buttons on the Mic. I can understand that…but it makes it a royal pain to get it up and started.
The next flaw is of course game compatibility. Most games that this works with, it works with perfectly. LIPS of course, flawless. The Beatles Rock Band, flawless. Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero almost flawless, however sometimes they have trouble recognizing the mic. You may have to go into the options and make sure the mic has been selected or it won’t work. Not hard but it sometimes happens. Then we come to Rock Band 2….ok…heres the thing. They added the online patch for Rock Band 2, as reviewers have noted, you need that patch. If you can’t connect to Xbox Live to update. You won’t be able to play these on Rock Band 2 right out the box. The next thing is…the lag…the lag is not necessarily as bad as I thought it would be. In fact it doesn’t really sound as much like a lag, more like a background echo. It depends on what type of person you are…I can tolerate it. But if your a perfectionist. It could be annoying. You can try some fixes, lowering your mic volume will reduce the echo. You’ll barely be able to hear yourself. But you should still perform well on the game.
Overall I found the mic worth it. But I enjoy LIPS alot…which is what its made for. If you want to buy this just for Rock Band 2 for an all wireless setup. Wait awhile. Because its not perfect. If you want to buy this for several music based games however. I saw go for it. Its a good mic, but it does have flaws which prevent it from being great.

Hunter First thing’s first: On 9/25/2009, an update was released to enable functionality of this microphone with all Rock Band games (thus, previous reviews mentioning that issue are now moot). I can confirm that the mic now does “work” with all Rock Band games.
However, the functionality of this microphone is utterly horrid (with the Rock Band games). In short: there is a very noticeable lag when singing into the microphone. The lag causes you to hear an echo when singing in game and causes your timing and pitch to go out of whack – making it near impossible to play songs on harder skill levels. In order to confirm that there was definitely an un-fixable issue with the wireless microphone, I did a little test and played a specific song on both the stock/corded and wireless microphones (both multiple times). Each time, I got double (sometimes triple) the score with the stock/corded microphone. It appears that the lag introduced by the wireless microphone is throwing off the timing, and it may have an issue with the pitch as well (however, I can’t confirm the latter).
Let me stop for a second and state that I have exhausted all avenues of trying to correct this problem. I’ve tried calibrating the audio/video lag in the Rock Band settings, and I’ve tried switching audio sources (from TV to receiver). This lag issue is a result of a poor wireless connection between the microphone and the game console – meaning that no in-game setting can fix the issue. It should also be noted that numerous users on the Rock Band forums are complaining about this very same issue with both the wireless microphone and the “Lips” microphones.
Is this something that can be corrected through a future update? doubtful. First of all, the issue is likely hardware related. If there is just a laggy connection between the microphone and the xbox, then no software can fix that. Further, it took about 8 months since introduction for Rock Band to issue this update (on 9/25) so I highly doubt that their development team is going to jump to fix this particular issue. Plus, the microphone still “functions” – it’s just a much worse experience than using the corded microphone.
So in conclusion, I absolutely recommend against purchasing this microphone. At $50, you’re paying a lot of money to remove the wire from your existing microphone. If the thing doesn’t work just as well as your corded mic, it’s certainly not worth $50. Also, if you’re really into getting high scores through the vocal sections, you will encounter nothing but frustration with the timing issues. Personally, I rarely even sing and I couldn’t deal with the lag and the echo, so I know that it’ll really irritate the hard core singers.
If you absolutely must go “all wireless” with your Rock Band setup, I’d advise you to wait and see if Rock Band officially announces a fix. If not, make sure you have an easy means to return the mic in the event that the lag affects you.
Happy gaming!

Velazquez I actually love this Mic and if it weren’t for some key features I would of returned since it currently has not been patched to work in Rock Band 1 or 2. Hopefully by the time the Beatles Rock Band comes out this will be working.
Pros:
Battery Life lasted about 3 weeks and has a sleep mode when not being used. Material is nice to feel and it’s pretty durable. Wireless works fine and it’s range is a lot more then I ever needed. Looks great with the lights but they only really come into play with the game “Lips” by Microsoft. A lot better then the standard Mics that ship with most Rhythm games. Has a motion sensor in it which some games take advantage of.
Cons:
A little tricky to sync at first but after that I never had a problem. Does not work with Rock Band yet. (apparently this shouldn’t be an issue by mid-late September.) The top of the microphone twists off so you can put in the batteries. It locks in but always feels loose. The base is little thick. If you use a Mic stand make sure you have a Microphone clamp to hold it.
Happy with my purchase overall but I really want to test this thing out in Rock Band.
Ever since little dwarfs father passed away he has been very much mesmerized into finding the family treasure, but truth be told it’s not going to be easy, after all our little dwarf is so little and his quest he is when it comes to to take on is an exceedingly long journey, he will need energy and endurance to finish it.
Get ready casual games because yet another retro arcade platform game has been released, and I might add a very fun one indeed. Endeavor is a simple pixel adventure game regarding a dwarf who must search for gems and other interesting collectables to help him along on his quest.
The game little dwarf has such simple graphics with interactional characters you may talk to along the way. Try to locate characters who need support along the way, if you take time to help you they will give you items for you to use on your quest, keep looking for those gems!
Some of the items are a little difficult to find, numerous humans tend to have trouble finding items like the parachute, lightning attack and the tiger, if you are having trouble locating gems or other collectables you may refer to the endeavor walkthrough for further and added tips and solutions.
According to the developer the game was produced in roughly a month, very impressive taking into account how nice everything ran for me the primary time, galore users did complain in regards to a bug/lag issue for the duration of the flower share of the game, it turns out it was just a save point, this bug has been fixed so everything will have to be working fine as of now.
Overall the game is a well made platform game suitable and gratifying for all ages. If you take pleasure in adventure games such as Mario and other puzzle games with a bit of a challenge/twist you will unquestionably get enjoyment from endeavor, anyways hope you find the review helpful, feel free to check it out sometime on your free time.

76 of 85 people found the following review helpful. Shoot and Loot By Bruul So I got my copy of Borderlands last night and played up to level 11. Here are my impressions one day in.
-The game is beautiful. I personally love the cartoony style of the graphics. Extremely detailed and even the barren wasteland is nice to look at. The characters while not customizable are all highly detailed as well and look great. You can change the name and colors, that’s about it.
-Controls are excellent. Feels like COD4 with a few changes. Any FPS player can pick it up and play very easily. The one vehicle I’ve seen so far controls exactly like a warthog from halo.
-Guns, guns, guns. Only a few hours in and I’ve seen so many kinds of guns I can’t count them. One of the best parts of the game is that you’ll never know what will drop out of the next enemy. Could be that acid rocket shotgun you’ve been waiting for! The pure crazines of the weapons is awesome.
-Story. What story? Your looking for a vault full of alien technology. That’s it so far. If your looking for deep story, this is not the game for you. Try Fallout 3. On that note, this game is nothing like Fallout. Other than the fact that both games are set in a wasteland like place in the future there is no comparison. It’s more like COD4/Halo meets Diablo/Baldurs Gate.
-Co-op. Tried the co-op last night and it was the best online experiance I’ve ever had. I sent my friend an invite and he joined my game with his levleed up character. No lobby, no re-loading, he just appeared in my game, we played for a few hours and when he left I was back to single player. All seamless. Amazing. Can’t wait to try it with four players.
-In the couple of hours I played it I was glued to the XBOX360. If I didn’t have to work today I would have played all night. Now that’s a sign of a good game. Well spent 60.00. I’m sure I’ll more than get my monies worth on this one for a long time to come. With four characters that you’ll not likely max out on the first play through this game has some legs to stand on. Enjoy.

I also wish that I could climb aboard the “this game is amazing” train but I can’t do that either. To be clear: this is a fun game and if you enjoy copious loot and you’re FPS/RPG hybrid genre fan I’d recommend this game, even at retail price. On the other hand if you find yourself leaning more one way or the other in terms of either a solid FPS or a real PRG then there are safer bets coming down the line for your $60. It’s a good game but it just didn’t live up to the hype more for decisions that the design team seemed to have made than for any failing in execution.
With that said everything that Gearbox set out to do it looks like they accomplished. The game looks great, the mechanics are solid, the audio is good and the art direction is absolutely fantastic. I’m also happy to say that with the exception of some very questionable decisions regarding pop up windows in split-screen play there are no bugs or obvious quality control oversights. This game is highly polished, a treasure to look at and smooth to play. Technically speaking this is quality software. From here on out if it seems I’m ragging on this game a little hard it’s because there are already a ton of 5 star reviews on here so it’s easy to find emphasis on the better aspects of the game if one desires.
The problem with Borderlands is that it doesn’t really do any single thing really well. It’s not a solid combat FPS and the RPG elements are so insignificant they’re essentially just a mildly customizable scaling system. The vehicles also appear more an afterthought than anything. There aren’t enough options to really customize your character and leveling decisions are more tactical considerations than broad gameplay choices. There’s just no role play in the role play. There are also exactly zero interesting or functionally interactive NPCs, the towns are simply a series of empty buildings and vending machines where you conduct business transactions. The few NPCs that do exist are immobile “come here and get you next quest” cut-outs. Borderlands is a dead world alright, just not in a good way. This is very disappointing and retro in an age of complex NPC AI and living, breathing worlds. There appears to have been a design decision along that way that “more is better”. I’d generally agree but here that ends up being a “tons of guns” gimmick that only leads to you simply hauling “tons of guns” back to vending machines to sell, only looking at their price tag. The other thing this leads to is a long series of uninspired missions that are largely “go here, collect item/kill boss, return”. With little or no depth to the missions they quickly start to feel less like a series of epic quests and more like a list of errands.
The FPS combat element is only adequate. Again, the feel is retro. The level deign is very dated with transition points between maps which are largely a series of canyons or other linear pathways interrupted by bizarrely unpleasant loading screens. Often at the end of the canyon is a load point which takes you into a building. Guess where that widget you have to find is? Yep, at the back the building in the big room with the boss. At least you won’t get lost, there’s generally only one way in or out. In the day of open, persistent outside worlds this is pretty unacceptable for a top shelf game(paging Bethesda). The enemies along the way have sufficient by undeniably rudimentary AI. The number of animations is limited and the group tactics non-existent so instead of fighting groups of enemies that work together and utilize cover and flank you instead you just fight multiple independent enemies simultaneously that strafe back and forth and advance or retreat depending on their health. It’s rather uninspired and the game uses a leveling system for enemies that radically alters the game’s formula for dealing and being dealt damage. This is used to prevent you from “playing ahead” by having enemies that are almost impossible to defeat without leveling. Having all your FPS skills be thrown out the window because you can only do 10 damage per shot instead of 50 and you take 50 instead of 10 because the game wants you to be a lvl 20 and you’re “only” a 17 is frustrating. Die hard FPS traditionalists will also be very unhappy with the HALO like shields and the checkpoint save system. Oh, and your little robot helpers are a blatant rip off of Grrr from Invader Zim.
Still, with all my complaints this is a solid game. It’s fun and can draw you in. On top of that there is more than enough unique gaming hours in it to justify a purchase instead of a rental. Bottom line: FPS fans would be better served waiting for Modern Warfare 2 and RPG and RPG hybrid fans should wait for Dragon Age but it’s still a safe bet if you have time and money to burn.
Pros: *Very polished, had no bugs. Quality coding. *Beautiful art direction and smooth, engaging graphics. *Simple, fun controls. *Very large world, plenty of unique game play hours for your buck. *Achieves “just one more quest” syndrome at times. *Easy learning curve.
Subjective qualities and food for thought: *Very light on RPG elements, this isn’t Deus Ex or Fallout 3. *Not a run and gun shoot ‘em blood and guts ride. *Not a lot of variety in the loot just guns/shields/mods. *Tons of guns. More likely to be sold to a vending machine than shot at anyone though. *Check point save system. *Shields.
Cons: *Irritating inventory. *Simple AI. *No interesting NPCs, no interactive world. *Little true character customization. *Vehicles end up as mere transportation. *Dated level design. *Unreasonable level scaling system that takes away from the FPS element. *Boring story. *Slow to start.

32 of 40 people found the following review helpful. The way a sequel should be By Allen Woods The first AC was a great game that suffered from overambition on the part of the developer. Even AC 1′s most diehard fans will admit that there were some pretty deep flaws in the game. With AC 2, the developers have actually justified that ambition. AC 2 is exactly what a sequel should be: more things to do, an even deeper story, and more weapons and equipment. There are a lot of great additions to the game that give it a pseudo-rpg feel: you can buy weapons and armor, and also upgrade them, as well as visit doctors and buy medicine. The developers hit it spot on by choosing the Italian Renaissance. Theres no other game that will let you run pretty much freely through famous Italian cities at the height of their glory, much less meet Leonardo da Vinci. But hey, its just a game. Another thing is that the graphics are absolutely fantastic, and this is from someone who almost exclusively plays pc games. With all the great improvements in AC 2, I will have to put a word of warning: even with all the new additions, It plays pretty much exactly like the first game, and I have to say that if you didn’t enjoy the first game, then there isnt much that can change your mind about this one. However, for fans of the series, this game really couldnt be any better.

There is simply so much you can do even after you finish the story mode. Secondly, while it looks a lot like the first Dissidia, there are plenty of tweaks that make for a better game play experience. Here’s a quick list of some significant changes the game presents.
-New characters like Lightning, Kain, Yuna and Tifa.
-Chases require you to be on the ball at all times. If you’re trying to guess whether you’re going to either throw or receive an HP or Bravery attack, it’s already too late and the chase is over.
-When entering EX mode in the middle of an attack, you are able to break the attack and slow down time for approximately five to six seconds. As a result, your EX meter is depleted, but you are free to unleash an HP attack upon your opponent.
-Characters have been balanced and tweaked. For example, Cloud can now use meteorain in midair instead of just on the ground.
-New stages and costumes.
-Story mode now has an overworld map that you run around in with your character to travel from the various battle stages. This makes story mode a much fresher experience so you aren’t simply a game piece on a board going from battle to battle.
-Custom events.
There are probably a significant amount of features that I have yet to find in this game as well.
Finally, those of you that have invested hundreds of hours into Dissidia 1 can move over much of what you had to Dissidia Duodecim. Levels, items bought with PP, ect ect. So please ignore the other two misinformed reviewers on this page. Dissidia 2 is a Final Fantasy fan’s dream come true….again!

It is almost like I am playing a different game from the first. Now there are some good and bad to this game. Now if you have ever played draonball z budakai, there are cut scenes during the game where its a one button dodge or attack that will have you and the opponent go back and forth until someone is actually hit, well it was in the first Dissidia and easy to anticipate the opponent but now its HARDER, I mean harder…..
Love the new characters, Love that they updated the old characters with new moves. the storyline is not something you would buy this game for. Its not even good. But hell the last storyline wasn’t good either. I will say if you thought you needed strategy for the last game now this one gets even crazier.
Some of the new features include new assist. this assist feature is kind of like marvel vs capcom and just blows me away on both ends, being the one hit with an assist and being the one hitting someone with an assist. they have new modes as well. I wish more people brought into this game because every time I go online no one is there lol . say bye bye to Duelist coliseum from the first dissidia and say hello to labyrinth. From what I know, Labyrinth is like a maze and I believe the opponents get harder and harder?????
You can also play the original story ( for those who never got it) on this game as well. Yay for new comers, bad for us Pros lol. the only good for us pros is u get reports with every story mode completed, basically new cutscenes and possible battles that will mesh characters from original game and this game together ( ex. Tifa (new character) in a scene with Cloud and Sephiroth)
Overall I cant put this game down. your PSP collecting dust and you been waiting for a good fighting game to keep you going, This is the one

Non-Soccer Fan review By Silas Deane I’m not really much of a soccer fan, though I will watch during the World Cup or European Championship tournaments and an occassional MLS game. I picked up this game on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. Let’s just say that since I’ve started playing, I haven’t put Madden 09 back in my 360.
The controls are pretty straightforward and easy to learn. Soccer strategy was a complete mystery to me before I started playing, but after a few games I was competitive and now can consistently score a few goals a game on the hardest difficulty.
The graphics are pretty good, considering the massive environment that is a soccer field. Close-up reaction shots and celebrations are pretty realistic.
The game certainly has no shortage of teams, that’s for sure. There are well over a hundred different teams from dozens of leagues from around the world with complete, accurate rosters.
I wish that there were more stadiums, however. You find yourself playing the same generic few again and again, though they do try to change it up by having different weather conditions and times of day available. I realize that they couldn’t have had all of the hundreds of distinct stadiums, but a few more would have been nice.
I can’t compare it to any other soccer games, since I’ve never played any, but if you’re looking for an enjoyable, detailed, fun game, FIFA 2009 is a good choice.

I used to also purchase fifa and they did make some succesful attempts like fifa 99 and the most of world cup games. Honestly, ever since like 2004 i had given up on fifa. The intelligence was not there, players weren’t moving while u are attacking and it was way too easy to score goals for me. This year, I read many reviews about the new Fifa and I said to myself, PES is the way to go and i went out and purchased PES again. Pes was fun at first but the glitches and the lack of leagues and online options started to bore me soooooo I GOT the new FIFA YESTERDAY!
WHAT A GAME!
1. The Graphics are beyond real. No glitches, no skips! 2. The game has everything that PES has. This includes being able to run around freely, pass however u like and shoot the ball precisely to a direction that u desire. 3. Its hard to score when u are face to face with the goalkeeper, whereas in PES the goalie just stands there and looks at u when u are trying to score a goal against him. 4.Many online and cup options 5. So many different leagues and real player names as well as a great commentary! 6.The buttons are the same as PES!! Makes it easier to get adjusted to the game
I can honestly say that Fifa is PES plus a lot more. For the first time in 10 years I am selling my PES before my Fifa.. There is no reason for any PES fan to not like this game. The buttons are the same, the graphics better, squad names are newer( Berbatov is in MANU), price is the same as PES, you can update player names and skills. EVERYTHING is much better.
I would highly recommend this game to any soccer fan. It is worth the money.
